Yoga

Jodi’s love of yoga led her on a journey to Southern India where she studied classical yoga and Vedanta philosophy at the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala. She has married this deep respect of yoga’s traditional roots to her love of movement and flow through her study with Siva Rea and Ana Forrest, Tias Little, and Seattle’s own Troy Lucero.

Jodi seeks to create a space that allows students to explore their practice with curiosity and authenticity. Her classes emphasize consistent attunement to the breath as a means of creating greater quiet in the mind and spaciousness in the body.

Currently, Jodi is only offering workshops and subbing. Please send an email if you would like to be notified when she is teaching.

Meditation

In partnership with the Seattle Bouldering Project this meditation class is an invitation to the advanced practitioner and beginner alike to quiet the mind, drop in deeply and develop or refine the ability to harness and channel mental energy.

Each class is thoughtfully designed with a short yoga practice to move the body and engage the breath as a means to prepare the participant for a longer sitting practice. A guided meditation at the end makes this class both empowering and deeply restorative, a beautiful ritual to close the weekend and welcome a new week.

This meditation class is offered the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month from 7:00pm-8:30pm at the Seattle Bouldering Project - 900 Poplar Place South, Seattle, WA 98144. Attendance is free with SBP membership or $18 with a day pass. Please register beforehand on the Seattle Bouldering Project website.
